SOMO finished off 2021 strong after completing Phase 1 to the solar and overall electrical infrastructure upgrades to a seed research facility based in Lichtenberg as well as upgrading the plants staff car parking facilities from simple IBR sheeting to over 140kWp of solar energy.
Continuing into January 2022, SOMO aims to finish the project after the completion of the seed research facilities expanded roof-line. This overall infrastructure upgrade consists of over 536, 550W panels, supplying the plant with over 294.8kWp of pure solar energy.
